L&T Technology Services announced Monday the development of an AI-powered digital twin platform for respiratory diagnostics, created in collaboration with NVIDIA and set to debut at the Radiological Society of North America conference in 2025.
The platform integrates with CT imaging and uses deep learning models to create 3D digital twins of lung anatomy, visualising airways, blood vessels, lung lobes and lesions. The technology leverages NVIDIA MONAI for medical image segmentation and NVIDIA TensorRT for AI inference optimisation.
The system provides interactive visualisation and precise path planning to support bronchoscopy procedures, helping clinicians navigate complex interventions. The platform is designed to assist in surgical planning for conditions including lung cancer, COPD and infectious diseases.
“Our collaboration with NVIDIA combines LTTS’ expertise in AI-driven diagnostics and predictive analytics, with NVIDIA’s powerful modeling and visualisation platform,” said Alind Saxena, Executive Director and President of Mobility and Tech at LTTS. The digital twin platform aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy while providing clinicians with real-time planning tools.
David Niewolny, Director of Business Development for Healthcare/Medical at NVIDIA, said the collaboration demonstrates how the company is empowering the healthcare industry with accelerated computing and AI innovation.
