Indian equities opened modestly higher on Thursday, with the Sensex and Nifty snapping a three-session slide, after the U.S. Federal Reserve delivered its widely anticipated 25-basis-point rate cut, a move investors hope will help temper foreign outflows.
The S&P BSE Sensex rose 69 points, or 0.08%, at the open to 84,460, while the NSE Nifty 50 advanced 23 points, or 0.09%, to begin the session at 25,781.
